Join us for an interactive online workshop designed to shape the future of AI training in population research!

This session is part of a three-workshop series running from December 2025 to February 2026, bringing together the Longitudinal Population Studies (LPS) community to co-design a new AI training platform.

In this workshop, we’ll focus on participants who regularly use AI tools or are AI experts. Together, we’ll explore:

  • What training and support you need
  • Preferred learning formats
  • Anticipated challenges
  • Key features for an AI skills platform

Your insights will directly inform the design and functional specification of the platform, ensuring it meets real-world needs.

Who should attend?
Researchers working with:

  • Longitudinal population data (e.g., cohort data)
  • Electronic health record data
  • Census data
  • Administrative data

This session is for you if:

  • You regularly use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, local LLMs, machine learning, Codex AI, open-source tools)
  • You develop/code your own LLMs, ML models, or data processing tools

Note:
If you are new to AI tools or have limited experience, our workshop on 26 January (14:00–15:15) may be more suitable for you. Please fill in this form to find out.

These workshops are hosted by Population Research UK, in collaboration with UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration, Centre for Longitudinal Studies, and Harmony.
